Caballo Loco N° 12
Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Carmenere
Origin
Caballo Loco No. 12—a blend of vintages spanning 1992 to 2007 and bottled in 2009—combines 16 vintages, building upon Edition No. 11 by incorporating the 2007 harvest, which many consider the best of that decade. It is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Carmenere sourced from the Maipo, Maule, Curicó, and Colchagua valleys (Central Valley Designation of Origin). It features an intense dark red color and 14.5% alcohol content. The wine was aged for 36 months in French and American oak barrels (25% new), with a total production of 36,000 bottles.
