Caballo Loco N° 5, a compilation of vintages from 1992 to 1999, bottled in 2000, is an eight-vintage blend that includes the 1998 and 1999 harvests, two challenging years: 1998 was rainy in Colchagua and 1999 was very hot. Made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Pinot Noir grapes from the Colchagua, Curicó, and Maule valleys (Central Denomination of Origin). Brick-orange red in color, 14% alcohol. Aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels; 36,000 bottles produced.

Harvested and destemmed, fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Maceration time 15 days.
