Compilation of harvests from 1992 to 1996

Caballo Loco N° 3

Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir.

Origin

Caballo Loco No. 3, a compilation of vintages from 1992 to 1996, bottled in 1997, is a blend of five vintages: part of the No. 2 edition and the addition of the 1996 vintage. It is in this edition that the proprietary slow, fractional aging system begins to operate, incorporating new vintages during the aging process. Malbec is added to the varietal blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir), maintaining its origin in Colchagua, Curicó, and Maule under the Central Denomination of Origin. It has a reddish-orange brick color and 13.6% alcohol. It is aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, with 36,000 bottles produced.

Vinification

A blend of 5 vintages using the previous edition No. 2 and incorporating the 1996 vintage. The proprietary slow aging system is already in operation, where new vintages are incorporated fractionally during its aging.
